How Laser Printers Function
Laser printers function by utilizing heat and pressure. Because heat and pressure can cause adhesives to ooze and contaminate laser printers, Business Media Division engineers developed Avery Dennison XonadTM. Avery Dennison XonadTM is a unique process that produces a pressure-sensitive laminate, print, die cut and sheeted product -- all completed in one pass on press. This capability allows the ultimate in flexibility to engineer and design products for your specific requirements.
Each order includes the best marriage of face stock, liner and adhesive, optimized to meet each application's needs. Avery Dennison XonadTM technology ensures that when labels run through a laser printer, there is no adhesive contamination. In addition, our engineers have devised a complementary process to ensure that our products lay-flat and stay-flat during the laser printing and sheet delivery processes.
To ensure that Avery Dennison products meet your needs, Business Media Division has an onsite printer test laboratory and continually collaborates with printer vendors such as HP, Lexmark and Xerox to ensure that products run as designed. By pre-testing your application on the printers you already own or plan to buy, you can count on getting the right solution.
